Emma's August update
Emma's really flying!
Emma has just had her first all out win at Tinkerhill , Her whole family were delighted and said it was fab, very emotional too, the kids from the junior quad clubs came from all over to support her,it was electric.
Ulster Championship 5th Round
Qualifying
Emma went out in her qualifying race and she set the fastest time and she qualified in 1st place.
Race 1
In her first race of the 5th round of the Ulster Championship she took off from the starting gates and was fourth into the first corner and stayed quite confortably there for a while but before long she was in second place and she was going for that win , she saw an opening and she went for it and she took that chequered flag in style, her first win at Tinkerhill.
It was back to the pits and refuelling for Emma and her bike and it wasn't long before she was back on the grid again.
Race 2
Emma's mum Sonya Mcquaid talks us through the second race :-
"We weren't sure whether she could pull it off for the second time especially with so much support behind her, even Roy Neil said she had so much local support. Well the fifteen second board went up then the five there was a roar from those engines and she took off, took the holeshot and lead from then on she wasn't for giving up that position, she just pulled away from the pack and had a comfortable lead, all we were afraid of was the back markers making a mistake but they didn't and she took the chequered flag.
It was the first time a lady took the first place win on an Ulster Championship day. Roy Neil asked every one to put there hands together to congratulate her coming in to the paddock.
Congratulations Emma on a magnificent achievement from all the crew at Adrenaline Guru
