Minimoto Brads July Update

Round 5 Southern Championships Stretton Leicester June 2nd & 3rd 


Brad had a really good weekend, again the weather was perfect with wall to wall sunshine and no wind
Saturday practice and quallifying went well with brad on pace straight away and setting pole on both the 4.2 and proddy.


Sunday race day and first practice brad sets a faster time on both bikes than his quallifiers and is well set for the first round of races.
Race 1, Proddy and he is off the line first and soon has a substantial lead, he ends up breaking the lap record of 39.4 secs with a highly impressive 39.09 secs.


Race 2, Proddy and more of the same as he again lowers the lap record to 38.7 secs and wins quite comfortably

Race 3, Proddy and same again as brad gets hole shot and clears off once again dropping the lap record this time to an amazing 38.46 secs.


4.2 class and brad has 3 straight comfortable wins, winning each race by around 20 seconds.
This meeting hast to be one of Bradleys best with him riding with a speed and accuraccy belieing his tender age of just 10.

Round 6 Southern Championships Wilton Mill Northampton June 16th & 17th


Sets pole position on both his 4.2 and production bike
3 wins on both bikes being about 2 seconds a lap faster than his nearest rival and extends his lead in both championships
Brads media career continues to prosper as he is featured in Bike sport news and is also in the August issue of two magazine.

Round 4 British Championships Red lodge Suffolk June 23rd & 24th


Appalling weather conditions lots of heavy rain and a very slippery surface did not deter Brad from a very good weekend.
On the 4.2 he set pole on the saturday and 3 race wins on the sunday
On the proddy he set pole on the saturday and 2 wins and 1 second on the sunday
On his metrakit he set pole on saturday and 2 wins and 1 second on the sunday the second settling for a second rather than risking going for a win and crashing. 



Round 7 Southern Championships Wilton Mill Northampton July 7th & 8th



Brad takes delivery of a new bike a Conti v4 50 cc, with 17 inch wheels, which needs to be run in so out he goes and takes the first 3 sessions nice and steady but increasing speed each time, by the last qualifier brad had got the hang of the bigger bike and set pole by a 10th of a second.
On the 4.2 he sets pole, as he also does on his Proddy.


Sunday  Race day
4.2 has 3 race wins getting hole shot each time and winning with ease.
Proddy 3 race wins getting hole shot each time but with his main rival Wayne Ryan in close pursuit.
On the Conti in Race 1 brad gets a terrible start being 7th into the first corner but by the 2nd lap had fought his way into the lead then over the next two laps built a big lead only to crash going into corner 2 so had a dnf.
Race 2 and brad gets a better start 2nd into first corner and gets the lead by 3rd corner and clears off winning by a large margin.
Race 3 and brad gets hole shot and never looks back taking an easy win.
