International Motorcycle & Scooter Show NEC
NEC BIKE SHOW 2007
Visit this year's NEC Bike Show and you may find yourself going weak at the knees. Held for the first time in vast new exhibitions halls, it's your opportunity to get up close and personal with the latest 2008 bike launches from major manufacturers, as well as enjoy world-class biker entertainment and rides.
NEW for 2007
Next to the Mini Moto, you will find Karting, with its own circuit and challenges - visitors will be able to race on 4 wheels karts around the track - competing against the clock and friends or just for fun! Visitors over the age of 12 and over 4' 6" are able to participate at a cost of £10.00
Proving that good things come in small packages, Mini Moto is back for 2007, with 90cc Mini Super Motos and a revamped track! For £10 visitors over the age of 12 can race around a covered track on Mini Motos or for visitors aged 16 and over there were Mini Supermotos (39cc, capable of reaching up to 40mph). For those with a competitive streak, the timing system will enable riders to compete against the clock or each other.
The track gives a combination of challenging corners and long straights - guaranteed to challenge the experienced rider or give novice riders a great taster into mini moto bikes.
Youth Day 2007
Is taking place on Tuesday 27th November 2007 at the NEC Bike Show. It is aimed at young people aged between 14 and 16 years old who can attend the event as part of a school group.
The theme for this year's event is Road Safety. The various activities planned for the students will encourage them to consider the wider context of road safety and the specific safety issues with regards to motorcycles and mopeds, not only from the perspective of the rider, but also the perspective of other road users and their consideration of vulnerable road users.
